Ms. Tommy Lee Calvert's Obituary
Tommy Lee Calvert was born to James and Bernice Wright. She was the baby of the Wright family.
Born in Wascom, Texas, her dad moved them to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she attended public schools and later attended the University of New Mexico.
At an early age, she accepted Christ and was a member of God's True Apostolic Church. Her church travels took her across the country. Just by chance, at one of the national conventions held in Leavenworth, Kansas, she met her future husband. She played the piano as he sang. The rest was history.
On February 17, 1951, she was joined in holy matrimony to Homer A. Calvert. To this union seven children were born: Marquita Neely, Floyd Calvert (Bea.), Michael Calvert, Ronald Calvert, Reginal Calvert, Homer Calvert Jr. (Tanya), and Leta Calvert.
She was the loving mother of seven, grandmother of 20, great-grandmother of 33, and great-great-grandmother of several. She leaves to cherish a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents James and Bernice Wright), two sisters (Imogene Holmes and Thelma), and two brothers (James Wright Jr. and Curtis Wright). The Omega Child was the last Wright standing. God gifted her with fourscore and sixteen years—a full and blessed life.
