I have known Merryl for 26 years and I know that she is a woman who deserved nothing but love and happiness. So when I first met Phil, I didn't know if he was the right guy for her. I mean she is like my adopted mom, so her happiness means the world to me. After a few meetings of Phil, I happened to look up at him as he was staring at Merryl with a smile on his face bigger than the sun and at that moment I knew he truly loved her. From that moment, I got to watch these two walk down the aisle and get married. I got to see pictures of their adventures together. I got to have exciting talks with Phil in my office at school or in the hallways. I got to know him better and also got to know that he hated compliance training. I also got to know that he was taken too soon from family and friends that loved him dearly. You will be forever missed but never forgotten.
There are several things I cherish about Phil. His quiet manner. His encouragement when I hit a rough patch. The love on his face when he looked at Merryl. Our conversations from different perspectives. His love and respect for his family. His sense of humor (boy, he coould make me laugh!). I light one final candle for you, my friend. Peace be...diane

Phil and I worked together at Sears Driving School in Mesquite. Wonderful friend to us all and will miss him. May you Rest In Peace Phil , will see you again some day.
