Patricia Ann Carrasco's Obituary
Patricia Ann (Carrasco) Houston
Patricia Ann Houston (Carrasco), age 67, passed away on her birthday September 26, 2025, at Medical City Arlington Hospital.
Patricia was born on September 26, 1958, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to parents Vickie V. Carrasco and Manuel G. Carrasco. Patricia grew up in Carlsbad before moving to Texas with her husband, where they began their family.
Patricia was a devoted mother, Mimi, daughter, and sister. She was a sweet and caring soul, a strong Christian woman with unwavering faith, and the heart of her family. She was known for her creativity and style—always fashionable, often sewing clothes, designing her own flip-flops, and expressing herself through her love of fashion. She enjoyed dancing, especially swing dancing, cooking (always the best meals), reading, working on crossword puzzles, attending church, and spending cherished time with her loved ones.
Patricia worked for many years as an insurance adjuster and later served as a Parent Liaison for Fort Worth ISD, where her kindness and dedication touched many lives.
Patricia was diagnosed July 11th, 2025 with breast cancer, which later spread to her liver and bones. She faced this battle with the same grace, faith, and strength that defined her life, showing courage and resilience until the very end.
Patricia is survived by her mother, Vickie V. Carrasco; her sisters Cecilia C. Quintela and husband Henry of Carlsbad, NM, and Nancie Parraz and husband Edward of Carlsbad, NM; her children Tre E. Broughton and Ty’Ann (Sarina) Broughton; and her granddaughters Kaiah Sarina Broughton, Addison Houston, and Tiffany Houston. She is also survived by her nephews Ryan Parraz, Cory Parraz, Eric Quintela (Jamie), John Quintela (Heidi); her nieces Kymberly Armendarez (Richard) and Breanna Carrasco; her great-nephew Kevin Armendarez; her great-nieces Emily Armendarez, Noelle Quintela, Prim Quintela, and Poppy Quintela; and many beloved cousins, aunts, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel G. Carrasco, and her brother, Michael John Carrasco.
She was the heart of our family, our guiding light, and our safe place. Her love will never leave us—it will continue to surround us always.
