I can’t believe I am about you go through a second Christmas & New Year without you. How is it possible that you're gone. How am I still here without you. There are so many times that I think I'll crumble and never be able to put myself back together again. Somehow I do. It must be you helping me. Lifting me up. Jorge, I miss you, my best friend & love of my life. I have been lying here watching TV and talking/playing with our babies. All I can think of is how it's what we spent our time doing, except one piece is missing. You. You always brought laughter, hand holding and much needed hugs. Man, I miss all of that and everything else that made you, who you were. I told myself when you were gone a year I would try and focus less on all I lost, including writing to you here but sometimes it's the only way I get peace. I can’t believe I am about to go through another birthday without you. I miss you as my best friend, my soft place and I REALLY miss taking care of you. Tomorrow will be a year since I last touched your hand or your face, albeit at your funeral. I am hurting so much today thinking about that goodbye. I miss you. This weekend has been hard baby. It's 4th of July & we would have been at the drive-in with our babies watching a movie and the fireworks. I really treasure the memories of doing that. We always had fun going hours early to play cards or stream some comedy special and talk. I would give anything to do that one more time. I hope you see I wear your ashes with my moon & stars necklace everyday, in honor of you. They never come off because I love you to the moon and all the stars and back again. Until I see you again my love.
