Van Anthoni
John Brown — affectionately known to me as “Popa Brown.”
From day one, he exemplified the hierarchy of our family through his longevity, his wisdom, and his unwavering walk with God. He loved me as one of his own, and I made it a priority to visit him and Moma Brown every time I came to Dallas.
The world stood still the day he closed his eyes. God blessed us with a gift in him, and although he is absent from his body, his spirit remains stronger than ever within us.
Remember the things he taught us.
Remember the laughter.
Remember his love, his actions, and his example.
He was a man rooted and grounded in God’s Word — and because of that, his legacy remains alive in each of us.
He is deeply missed.
With Love and Respect,
Evangeline Prince
