Gary Piontek
To Dawn, Michael, and David,
I wanted each of you to know how deeply sorry I am for the loss of both Uncle Jerry and Aunt Mary.
Although our hearts ache with losing them so close together, there is also comfort in knowing they are together again after sharing such a remarkable life and marriage. Jerry and Mary truly led by example. They were warm-hearted, genuine people who made everyone around them feel welcomed and valued.
Some of my favorite extended family memories began with the two of them. Whether it was family gatherings, stories shared, laughter, or simply the way they carried themselves, they created a lasting impression on all of us. Their love for family, adventure, and each other was evident in everything they did.
Uncle Jerry lived a full and meaningful life — serving his country, building lifelong friendships, and sharing so many adventures with Aunt Mary, especially through their love of sailing. Together they built not only a beautiful life for themselves, but also a legacy that continues through all of you and your families.
Please know that Pamela and I are thinking of all of you during this difficult time. I will always cherish the many family memories connected to Jerry and Mary, and I feel fortunate to have had them in our lives.
With love and heartfelt sympathy,
Gary
