I remember walking into Wesley McCabe United Methodist Church the first time. I looked around lost, not knowing where to go. Geryl took me by the hand and said "Come with me to my class." Never have I gone to a church and felt so welcome. This was the beginning of a great friendship. Geryl was a leading lady among ladies. She is one that I will always want to emulate. She gave with her whole heart. She will be greatly missed here on this earth. What singing and joy was welcoming her home. I hope I can be at least a little of what you taught me.

I had the privilege and honor of knowing this great woman of God through her daughter, my dearest BFF, Eva. Although my connection to her began through Eva, I was blessed to hear the most beautiful stories about her — stories so rich, meaningful, and powerful they sounded like something written in a book.
Through the many testimonies shared, it is clear that her life made a lasting impact. She touched lives through her love, sacrifices, wisdom, faith, and the way she honored God and family. She was an honorable, respected, and remarkable woman — small in stature, perhaps, but with a heart so big and a legacy that stands tall.
Her life reflected strength, grace, devotion, and love. She will surely be missed, but the impact of her life will continue to live on through her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and all those blessed to know and love her.
I extend heartfelt love, heavenly hugs, and continued prayers to Eva, her father, III
Candace, Joyce, all of her siblings, grandchildren, and loved ones. May God continue to strengthen you in the days ahead, surround you with His peace, and comfort your hearts with the beautiful memories and legacy she leaves behind.

Mrs. Tucker, I love you. You were my 3rd grade teacher at Tuba City Boarding School. You made me feel so special. You called me, “My teacher’s pet.” I didn’t really know what that meant but I loved to help you with everything. Thank you forever for making me feel sooo special. It was because of you that I loved working with children. I often wondered what happened to you and where you went. Rest in Heavenly peace. Mrs. Tucker is one of my favorite teachers, here in Tuba City AZ. She was a very sweet, beautiful & fun lady. She always invited My mother & I for dinners. She Taught me how to play piano & her husband taught me how to pick the guitar. Summertime she would take me to the swimming pool with her grandkids. Thank you for being my teacher & mentor. I'll always love you!

One of my fondest memories of Ms. Geryl was when she introduced me to Burger King’s Original Chicken Sandwich over 25 years ago. I come from a Whopper-eating family, so every time I went to Burger King, that’s exactly what I ordered lol. One afternoon Ms. Geryl kept me until my mom got off work, & she didn’t feel like cooking, so she took Candace and I to Burger King. Long story short, she changed my whole order that day because that chicken sandwich was sooooo good and I’m still eating them to this very day. ❤️❤️Rest in LOVE Ms. Geryl! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
