Many happy memories of us, always involving friendly competition that made us better. I grew up playing basketball with Elle since the second grade. We were the little scorers, and I always remember Elle’s incredible speed. Despite her small stature, she was feisty, mighty, and always stood up for her teammates, demonstrating true leadership. Off the court, she was a light in the room, always filling it with laughter and hilarious jokes. A funny memory I have with Elle was when a referee got upset because she wore the number 9. It was such a silly rule, as refs said they couldn’t sign it, but Elle loved her #9 so much. Me, Taylor, and Elle all thought it was ridiculous, and we were determined not to let the ref take it away from her. It was one of those moments that showed Elle’s passion. She will be Forever in our hearts.
