Earline Carter's Obituary
Earline Carr Carter was born on September 1, 1946, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and peacefully entered eternal rest on May 28, 2026. She was a woman of faith, warmth, and strength whose kindness, laughter, and loving spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Earline was a licensed cosmetologist who had a passion for helping people look and feel their best. She later retired as a Laboratory Technician with Texaco/Chevron Corporation, where she was respected for her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic. Her most exciting accomplishment was becoming a published author of the book "Take Care of the Children in Your Own Backyard", reflecting her love for children, families, and building stronger communities.
Earline found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved playing board games, watching television (especially sports), and spending time on her computer. She had a wonderful sense of humour, a beautiful smile, and a way of making people feel welcomed and loved. Above all, she cherished her family and treasured every moment spent with them.
She will be forever remembered by her two sons, Terrence Carr (wife Kelly Carr) and Ferlin Carr (wife Linda T. Carr); two daughters, Renetta Carter and Keyona Carter; twelve grandchildren: Frelisha Carr (Earline's Heavenly Angel), Ferlin Carr Jr., Terrence "TJ" Carr Jr., Tyler Carr, Paris Carter, Prince Edward Carter, Asia Carter, Michael Carter, Lyla Carter, Harlan Carter, Leland Williams, and Hanna Williams; two great-grandchildren: Rowan Briggs and Jaliel Wallace; and a host of beloved cousins, relatives, and friends.
Earline was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Johnson; her father, Earl Carr; her aunts, Annie Mae Green and Alberta Green; her uncle, Clarence Green; and her devoted cousin, Helen Gibson.
Earline's love, faith, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain a source of comfort, strength, and inspiration.
