Ms. Carrie Jean Greer's Obituary
Carrie Jean Greer, a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, entered eternal rest on January 5th, 2026, at the age of 80 years old. Born on December 8th, 1945, in McKinney Tx, Carrie lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. Carrie attended public school where she graduated from E.S. Doty High School in May 1964. For 30 years Carrie was more than just an employee at Texas Instruments she had been a pillar of commitment, professionalism, and integrity. Through changing times, evolving systems, and countless challenges, Carrie remained steadfast, reliable, and deeply devoted to her work. Even in retirement, she remained active in caring for others, staying connected to friends, and encouraging those around her in their faith. From an early age, Carrie developed a deep love for God and a trust in His promises that guided every season of life. Through times of joy and times of hardship, she remained steadfast, leaning on prayer and Scripture for strength, comfort, and wisdom. Carrie often spoke of God’s faithfulness and lived as a quiet example of what it means to walk humbly with the Lord. Carrie was a devoted member of Unique Deliverance Tabernacle for many years, where she faithfully worshiped, served, and supported the work of the church under the direction of the late Rev. Savella Greer Sr. until his passing. Proceeding his death, she transitioned to New Life Faith & Family Phase #2 under the direction of Pastor Savella Greer Jr. Whether through teaching, volunteering, hospitality, or simply offering a listening ear and a kind word, Carrie touched many lives and reflected Christ’s love in practical ways. Her faith was not confined to Sunday mornings but was evident in everyday actions and relationships. To children, she was gentle and nurturing, teaching them the ways of righteousness through patience, kindness, and godly example. Many young lives were shaped by her prayers, her counsel, and her unwavering love. To adults, she was a woman of wisdom and spiritual strength. Her words were seasoned with grace, her prayers fervent, and her faith unshaken. In times of sorrow, she offered comfort rooted in God’s promises; in times of joy, she rejoiced with a thankful heart. She carried herself with dignity and lived in faithful service, always seeking to glorify God rather than herself. While we mourn Carrie's passing, we do not grieve without hope. She now rejoices in the presence of the Lord whom she loved and served so faithfully. As promised in Scripture, To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8) We take comfort in knowing that Carrie has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Carrie leaves to cherish her precious memories, her sister Mary Lewis McKinney Tx; Brothers; John D Greer (Thelma), Lawrence Greer (Bettie), sister-in-law Earnestine Greer of Montgomery AL; sister-in-law Willie Mae Greer McKinney Tx.
