Ray David Cramer's Obituary
MANSFIELD -- Ray David Cramer, 80, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 8, 2010 while in a Dallas hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Celebration of Life: 2pm Sunday, February 14 at Advent Lutheran Church, 3232 S. Cooper St, Arlington.
Ray was born October 10, 1929 in Hyde Park, Reading PA to Ray and Mae Cramer. He graduated from Muhlenberg High School in Laureldale, PA and worked as a bank clerk before joining the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force he attended Rider University where he majored in Accounting. He graduated cum laude receiving his Bachelor of Science in Commerce. In 1956, he was married to Gloria Miller and worked a few years for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY. He accepted a position with the US State Department working at the Agency for International Development. His work for the US State Department allowed his family to experience life in several countries around the world and enabled Ray to take advantage of his passion for photography. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Cramer. Ray will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whom he knew.
Survivors: wife of 53 years, Gloria D. Cramer of Mansfield, sons, David Cramer and wife Anne of Fredricksburg, VA, and Jonathan Cramer and wife Debbie of Springfield, VA, daughters, Katherine Ward and husband Daniel of Nairobi, Kenya and Deborah Black and husband Doug of Mansfield, sister, Evelyn Bare of Reading, PA, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
